Controlled Power, LLC has served the utility and heavy industrial markets for 5kV and 15kV metal-clad switchgear for over 30 years. Photo is a lineup of integrated 5kV equipment that is nearly 300 feet long. This equipment provided the 5kV in-plant distribution and control for a New York City waste water treatment plant (at that time, it was the largest waste water treatment plant in the world). The switchgear contained a combination of vacuum 5kV circuit breakers, 5kV motor controllers, and interconnecting bus duct, all manufactured by CP. |

The entire lineup was completely assembled at CP's facility, and tested as it was to be installed at the plant.
CP's
list of satisfied industrial and utility customers number
in the hundreds. Standards for CP's metal-clad switchgear
evolved from stringent utility requirements. CP tests
all equipment to rigid ANSI standards prior to shipment.
Circuit breakers for each job are used for testing of
switchgear to insure proper mechanical fit, and to verify
electrical operation of the equipment.
